What do we do?

For exchange students:

ESN LISBOA has as it's main goal the integration of international exchange students in the local culture and city.

ESN achieves this objective through a different set of projects:

• Buddy Program - Grouping portuguese students with international students;
• Weekend Trips - Culture and leisure trips to different destinations across Portugal;
• Movie Nights - Providing exchange students with the opportunity to watch Portuguese movies with english subtitles;
• Sport Events - ESN has organized football tournaments between exchange students and the possibility for exchange students to attend to radical sports activities, like SkyDiving;
• Cultural days - Providing free visits to museums and monuments across Lisbon;
• Day Trips - Trips to close locations or cities to visit relevant monuments or events, lasting no more than one day;
• Punctual Events - Punctual events like barbecues, or live concerts or portuguese student life events wich provide;
• Parties - Parting is part of the Erasmus life, we do not try to hide this we think party is important and we try to integrate all party components with cultural activities;

Support during exchange

If you face any problem, injustice or if you feel you were treated unfairly by your home or host university, or if your Erasmus Charter was not respected, please contact us, which will represent your needs towards the involved institution.

For Universities:

Later this year, ESN has started to develop new projects in order to help its partner universities in the process of organizing their exchange students and easing up their first days in Lisbon.

• Personalized assistance in finding a accommodation in Lisbon at ESN LISBOA office;
• Multi-city Housing Platform;
• Buddy Program Platform supporting integration with University offices when requested;
• International promotion of University's exchange projects throughout ESN network;
• ESN SURVEY - ESN International survey that explores the current issues connected to academic and non-academic mobility.

For Former exchange students:

The students who are returning from exchange are being supported in reintegration process in their home countries by keeping contact with an international environment. We welcome former exchange students to join our activities, often because they have had good experiences from their exchange period or because they felt a lack of help during their exchange. They also understand better the issues and challenges in a foreign environment.
